World Women in Neuroscience Self-Care Mentoring Circle: Aligning Values, Mentorship, and Goal Setting for Successful Neuroscience Careers.
ORGANIZERS: Drs. Emmeline Edwards and Jean King.
Event Description: This WWN event will highlight the role of self-care as a critical ingredient for career advancement. The session will feature short presentations and experimental activities from a diverse panel of WWN faculty. Proven strategies such as: Mentoring; Goal Setting; and Evidence-based Practices to improve coping skills and reduce burnout will be highlighted.
Participants are encouraged to ask questions during the latter 30 minutes of the session via: 1. Using the Zoom hand raised feature or 2. The Zoom chat feature. During this latter 30 minutes, participants will be able to share their own experiences and explore potential solutions in a Mentoring Circle.
The event will be held as part of the International Conference of the Neuroscience Association SFN on two dates and registration is free, so that all our members can attend it from all over the world.
