Regional COURSES and WORKSHOPS:
(From April 1st to April 30th, 2008)

IBRO’s Latin America Regional Committee will evaluate possible funding (up to US$ 5000) for basic Neuroscience courses or workshops to take place between July and December 2008. The application must include: (1) Title of course or workshop, (2) place and dates, (3) coordinator’s CV, (4) tentative program, (5) list of Faculty, (6) number and level of students or participants, (7) detailed intended use of IBRO-LARC funds, (8) other sources of funding (including amounts), and (9) previous funding by IBRO-LARC (including year and use). NOTE: This activity should foster cooperation among regional neuroscientists (students and researchers). Failure to incorporate participants from the region handicap chances for approval. Contact any LARC member if you have doubts about your proposal. Important: For this year, preference will be given to courses or workshops carried out within or next to the I Congreso IBRO-LARC de Neurociencias de Latinoamérica, el Caribe y la Península Ibérica (Neurolatam I), to be held in Buzios, Brazil, September 2-4, 2008.

Within 60 days after the activity, its coordinator must submit a report of activities, participants and use of IBRO-LARC funds. A summary in English should also be prepared to be posted at the IBRO website. Both the report and the English summary must be sent to Carlos Mas (carlos@mail.fcq.unc.edu.ar), collaborative webmaster for the IBRO-LARC website. Receipt of applications will open on April 01 and will close on April 30, 2008. Send your electronic application as an attachment to both of the following addresses:
